TRAIN TO TEACH
Applications for 2025-26 teacher training are OPEN!
See below for details about how to apply.
We partner with Trinity Institute of Education and Yorkshire Rose Teaching Partnership to offer initial teacher training through the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT).
Train to teach with our Primary and Secondary ITT programme to become a qualified teacher with a PGCE, QTS and 60 Masters credits. Our programme is an exciting, school-based training route for recent graduates and career changers. You will learn 'on the job' with school placements, and receive excellent training and lots of support.
Our programme takes one year to complete and on average we have a 98% employment rate.
Our Programme
We run a School Direct model, which means you are in school from day one. This does not mean that you are teaching from the start though. You will have the opportunity to ease your way into teaching from September to October, after which your assessed practice will begin. A school-based approach is more supportive and hands-on and will assist your learning and understanding of teaching.
There are three placement blocks on our programme that are delivered as a sandwich course. As you go through these blocks, your timetable will gradually build. The second school placement of the programme will provide you with an alternative experience and allow you to build new networks.
Our programme is delivered by outstanding practitioners, bringing together a wide range of experts including teachers who are outstanding, so you can learn from the very best.

- Part-Time: We offer three part-time options. The non-negotiable day is Thursday as this is required for training. If you would like to train part-time, please contact us to discuss the options available.
